The Vat Phou boat – Traditional Wooden Cruise

 

This lovely old restored teak ferry took you on a languid journey down the Mekong in relaxing style. The boat itself is comfortable & beautifully restored in nice timbers, retains a character that is unmistakably oriental.

 

There are 12 cabins which are small but everything you need is there with a double bed, cupboard & a good size bathroom with a walk in shower….

The food on board is very good with variety of tasty dishes & always plentiful. Staff smiling and attentive.

 

The excursions during the cruise take you visit to waterfalls, temple ruins and villages along the way. In which, Vat Phou ruins at Champasak is a highlight of visitting. The boat is unique cruise in Southern Laos.
