NORTH VIETNAM SECTION
(7Days-6Nights)

Day 1: Arrival Hanoi – City tour – Lao cai (D)

Transfer to the hotel to freshen up. Spend the afternoon on foot or by cyclo with a guided orientation stroll around the Old Quarter. In the evening transfer to Hanoi railway station for overnight train depart at 9pm to Sapa.

Day 2: Lao Cai – Sapa (B,L,D)

Arrive in Lao Cai. Pick up and transfer to Sapa. Have breakfast in Hoa Sua Restaurant. Start a short hike at 8 a.m. to visit Cat Cat village, the black H'Mong group. Admire breaktaking mountainous landscapes, a nice waterfall, an old French danamo. Lunch is served at local restaurant. Afternoon, free to explore Sapa on your own until dinner which will be held at a local restaurant. Overnight at Chau Long or Royal View hotel in Sapa.

Day 3: Sapa – Thanh Phu – Sin Chai

After breakfast, transfer by Russian jeep to Su Pan, then start to Thanh Phu, a village of Tay people. Enjoy picnic lunch in Thanh Phu then keep onto to the Red Dao village of Sin Chai, and overnight in bamboo huts, perched high with great views across the Sapa valley.

Trekking time: 6-7hrs

Day 4: Sin Chai – Ban Ho – Sapa – Lao Cai – Hanoi(B,L)

Leave early and trek downhill to Ban Ho, located on the banks of the mighty Ta Van River. Spend time swimming and relaxing while lunch is cooked. Trek a final 5km up a steep valleyside to the gravel road that will mark the end of our trek.1
Load up and transfer 20km to Sapa. Reach Sapa in the afternoon for a well deserved hot shower and beverage or both! Transfer to Lao Cai and the overnight train to Hanoi

Day 5: Hanoi – Ha Long (B,L,D)

Arrive in Hanoi by train. Pick up at station and transfer to hotel for breakfast. Depart for Halong Bay in a private air conditioned vehicle. Transfer to a shared wooden boat for a cruise among the 3, 000 spectacular limestone islands. The boat is one of the more traditional varieties that sail through the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on boat while the captain heads out for the horizon. Visit Dinh Huong Island and others, stop to wander around the impressive Sung Sot Cave famed for its remarkable stalactites and stalagmites. Continue the cruise stopping at Titov beach for the night. Dinner on board.

Day 6: Ha Long bay cruise – Hanoi( B,L)

After breakfast and an early morning swim, continue the cruise past rock formations named after their shape. Enjoy a short trip by sampan Luon cave (tunnel cave) Paddle through the tunnel and emerge into a crater lake, surrounded by impenetrable cliffs and gliding kites. The trip to this cave is dependent upon tidal conditions. Cruise out to Bai Tu Long Bay around Bai Tho Mountain and head back to dry land. Have lunch on board. After lunch transfer by private air-conditioned vehicle back to the hotel in Hanoi. Overnight hotel in Hanoi

Day 7: Departure (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Hanoi airport for own flight home.
