Day 2 Sukhothai – Chiang Rai:

After breakfast, at 8.00 am, meet with the guide at your hotel. Visit the Sukhothai Historical Park. Sukhothai, which means "dawn of happiness", was the first realm of the Thai. The ruins of the royal palaces, the Buddhist temples, the city gates, the walls and the aqueduct control system are well preserved, thanks to restoration work, by the Department of Fine Arts in cooperation with UNESCO.
In the historical park we will visit the following temples: Wat Si Chum, Royal Palace and Wat Mahathat and Wat Si Sawai at the end of the visit departure to Chiang Rai where we will spend the night at the Maryo Resort **** (Deluxe room).

Day 3 Chiang Rai:

At 08:00, after breakfast, meet the guide at the Chiang Rai hotel and departure for the Baan Ruammit village. Visit the elephant village. The village lies along the banks of the Rimkok River, which crosses Chiang Rai and ends in the Mekong. There are beautiful rice fields along the way and several tribal villages. Each elephant can carry up to two people and the walk takes about 30 minutes. At the end of the tour it is possible to feed the elephants. Continue to a tribal village of the Akha, Yao and Karen ethnic group (giraffe women). In the village it is possible to see the tribes with their traditional ethnic clothes. Men work in the fields during the day, while women with looms create silk scarves. The Thai government has granted the tribal ethnic groups land 20km north of Chiang Rai, where different ethnic groups have chosen to live together. At 12.00 lunch time.

Afternoon dedicated to the most famous temples of Chiang Rai, then we will visit the Baan Dam, more commonly known as "The Black House", the black house and it is a very particular creation of the eccentric Thai artist, Thawan Duchanee. In part art studio, partly museum and partly house, Baan Dam is a mixture of traditional North Thai style buildings with others of modern and grotesque design. Baan Dam provokes a combination of thoughts between the dark, the surreal and the amused. The day will end with a guided tour of the Wat Rong Suea Ten, the so-called Blue Temple. At the end, return to the hotel.
Overnight at the Maryo Resort ****.

Day 4 Chiang rai (Golden Triangle) - Chiang mai:

At 08.30 am, after breakfast, meet with the guide in the hotel lobby. We will depart along the old road that leads from Chiang Rai to Chiang Saen to arrive at one of the most beautiful temples in northern Thailand, Wat Phra That Pha Ngao. The temple is seen as a monastery where men and women seeking refuge find refuge. Very often you can meet Thais in Bangkok or other cities in Thailand, who flee the chaos and decide to spend a period of meditation in the Chiang Saen temple.

At the end of the visit we will continue to the Golden Triangle. Arriving in Chiang Saen, the first stop will be at the promontory of the golden triangle, a unique view point from which you can admire the confluence of the rivers that form the natural border between Laos, Burma and Thailand.
At 12.00 stop for lunch.

After lunch, navigation of the Mekong river by local boat, up to the island of Don Xao in Laos. No visa will be applied to the passport, but a daily entrance fee of 30baht per person must be paid on site. The passport is left at the Thai customs and returned on return from Laos.

Visit the island and its markets, where you can find everything, from clothing to more extravagant objects such as whiskey with cobra or bottles with stuffed scorpions.
At the end of the tour departure for Chiang Mai and transfer to the airport.
