General description:

The Speed Boat tour to Hong Island will lead you in an island hopping, including Hong Island, Koh Ladin and Pakbia Island. Hong Island is the most known among them. This “island of rooms” is a perfect escape on holiday. It is a wonderful uninhabited island renowned for its breath-taking beauty, shallow coral reefs and fine, sandy beaches. In the middle of the half-circle shaped island lies the secret lagoon, where you can find yourself at one with nature. Picnic lunch and time for swimming, snorkelling and exploring. Relaxing and fun.

Itinerary:

07:45 – 08:30: Pick up in the hotels

09:00: Departure from the pier

15:00: Return to pier and, following, in hotel

Stops: Koh Ladin, Pakbia Island, Hong Island and Hong Lagoon

Highlights:

Hong Island Lagoonis absolutely one of the most charming places in the Andaman Sea: a narrow gateway between the high rock’s wall leads into the peaceful and spectacular environment of mangrove swamps decorated with the rounded shape roots of mangroves, emerging from the waters, and crowned with its green leaves. When the tide is lower it’s easy to see the curious, small fauna populating this habitat, such as the mud-skippers, amphibious fishes that can use their pelvic fins to walk on the mud or like the fiddler crab: small crabs with a major claw much larger than the other.

Ladin Island, known also as Paradise Island, is a small island in the Hong Archipelago. Guests will land in a small secluded bay, whose main characteristic are the high located caves where swallows build their nests. The bird’s nests, being food extremely appreciated by Chinese people, are a particularly thriving market. Visitors can see as evidence of this activity, the large bamboo canes used by the collector to climb and take the so called “White Gold”.
