Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is one of the best resorts in Vietnam, located in the beautiful coast at Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. The resort boasts beachfront and overwater villas, as well as villas nestled into the island’s rock formations.

Ciao Travel Team had an inspection trip to the resort at the end of April 2021 and sharing  a the report after deeply looking & experience the property.

LOCATION

Isolated island in Ninh Van Bay, Khanh Hoa province. Overlooking Ninh Van Bay, surrounded by the mountains,  the resort is set on a rocky beach that lies 10 km offeringmajestic views of the sea.

Distance from Cam Ranh aiport: 1 hour by car + 20 minutes by boat.     

CONCEPT

The resort is friendly and integrate into environment. Wood is main material using to built and decoration, that gives feeling of comfort and dedicate, not extravagant, flashy but elegant and cozy.

Designed in the style of a stilt house in Vietnam, the maximum open space offers the most open space and maximum view of the sea, mountain or garden from every corner of the resort.

THE VILLA

 Villas are spacious and comfortable each with a private pool and either a garden terrace or sundeck. Located on the beach, over the water, between the rocks or perched on the mountainside, ocean views are ubiquitous. Each villa type offers seclusion (the only person who will find you is your dedicated Guest Experience Maker, on call 24 hours a day.)

There are 4 basic types of villas, including beachfront villas, hill villas, rock villas (close to the beach) and water villas. All villas have large space, private swimming pool, ensuring privacy but also very close to nature.

• Beachfront Family Villa: It is suitable for families with elderly people and children because of safety and easy to access to public area of the resorts, such as restaurants, bar, garden, kid club….not having to walk

• Hill Top Villa: Suitable for young people who do not mind walking (easy walking)

• Rock Villa: Ideal for honeymoon couples

• Water Villa: It is good choice for groups of friends, honeymooner and families, who desire for absolutely privacy and luxury.

ACTIVITIES

 The resort offers a list of activities, either free and paid  to guests on a daily schedule. Favorite free activities at the resort are meditation, yoga, kayaking, cycling, ice cream and cinema on beach…..dinner on the jetty.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Food

There are three public restaurants, including: Dining by the Bay, Dining By the Rocks & Dining by the Pool.

• Dining by the Rock located separately on the high mountain, with breathtaking panoramic sea-view. If you don't mind climbing (easy steps), reserve a table in the outdoor area for a great sunset dinner.

• Dining by the Bay restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, located close to the sea, with a view of the sea, nearby the center area of ​​the resort. The restaurant is divided into 2 areas; restaurant area and bar area.

• Dining by the Pool usually serves lunch, located next to the pool with a simple and unimpressive design. However, this is a place you can enjoy free ice-cream from 10am to 4pm.

For special, intimate dinners, the resort will tailor-made private dinner in the cave, on the beach, at the jetty or at your own villa.

Beverage

You can sip drinks at the bar at Dining By the Bay restaurant or at welcome lobby directly on the beachfront and adjacent to the arrival jetty.

PROS & CONS

Pros

• Located in the most beautiful are on isolated island in Ninh Van Bay, Six Senses is a wonderful, harmony symphony of sea, rocks and lush mountains offering countless beautiful corners for photoshooting, bearing the Six Senses impression that nowhere else can be found.

• Perfect befitting between azing view, tranquility of moutain and warm interior, open-view design.

• Staff is very friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated. All details related to you and your team are captured and updated in a very timely manner by the staff at SS (from managers to housekeepers)==> giving a feeling of being cared for and cared for at all times.

Cons

• Although mosquito scent is provided in each villa, there are still quite a lot of mosquitoes in the hill and beachfront villas

• Scheduled activities change day by day, so you may miss your favorite activity if your stay period not coincide on the schedule.

• Food: Breakfast was good, buffet dinner was quite good (quality of food was good but not various choices), hot-pot dinner was not good (the food was small and not really fresh, broth was simple). In general, we not appreciate food at the resort.

• Lack of flexibility:There are no alternative activities or solution in case of weather affects to scheduled activities. Such as: Ciao Team has been looking forward to watching movies by the beach, that’s held every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night. However, it rained about 15-20 minutes at beginning of evening, the  movies was canceled without the flexibility to move to another location.
